Sep 18, 2012 · Zedruu makes a great commander for a control deck, giving you the ability to out-draw your opponents with little effort. This is a key element to any good control deck. I should say that Zedruu could also work in an aggro-control capacity with more creatures, but White, Red and Blue's midrange threats are not the strongest in EDH.

Feb 15, 2022 · There are lots of ways to win with Zedruu. Her basic shell is just a powerful draw engine, which can enable all kinds of Jeskai strategies. Personally, my favorite archetype for Zedruu is control, which involves slowing down your opponents' wincons so you can play more expensive late-game one or two card wincons.

Zedruu is also one of the only commanders that can effectively run a mostly traditional control deck suite in EDH. Most of the time multi-player formats make it impossible to trade cards 1 for 1 and come out ahead, but Zedruu has strong enough card draw built in to make it work.

Jun 3, 2022 · Zedruu is mana hungry so I run plenty of mana-rocks, fetch-lands + [[Sun Titan]], [[smothering tithe]] and [[Dockside Extortionist]] although that one is stupid expensive. [[Keeper of the Accord]] allows you to donate the creatures he creates which fuels your draw engine and his creature production.
