Take MetroNorth from Gran Central to Poughkeepsie— there you can 1. take a bus to FDR Library and Museum, The Culinary Institute, ValKill, and Vanderbilt Mansion. There is a nice beautiful hiking trail from FDR Museum to Vanderbilt Mansion. 2. Uber to FDR museum (about $10) 3. Pick up a zip car right at the Poughkeepsie station. The MetroNorth website has a special page Called Ride2Drive Go to the metronorth webpage & look for Getaways and Ride2Drive (it won’t let me post the link) Let me know if you go!
