Zwakala River Retreat is located on a private family farm high up in the beautiful Magoebaskloof mountains of Limpopo Province. For many years we have shared our little piece of paradise with a host of extended family and friends who have gathered together at every opportunity to celebrate all the best things in life. It’s a sharing and caring kind of farm and it is this warmth and love for bringing people together that has spilt over into all that we do. Over the past couple of years we opened up the farm to visitors and we now offer three self catering cottages and a private river campsite. Weddings and a fabulous quarterly food market are hosted at Minas Art Cafe & Farm Venue the renovated original farmhouse and shed. Our recent addition Zwakala Brewery embodies the same ethos of togetherness and the word Zwakala actually means “come closer”. We are proudly South African and love this beautiful, vibrant & colourful province of Limpopo that we live in.
