The Minnesota Wild has a great logo, too. I like the Wild's better because I think the elements blend together better. In the Spartan logo, the swing looks like an American-made-Car gas gauge. Really out of place. The Wild logo integrates elements equally and doesn't tip it to either side too much. Everything feels balanced in the Wild's logo.

Jul 5, 2015 · This logo is very well designed but the reason why it isn't good is because it's author didn't solve a problem, they invented a problem after they had the solution. The best logo in the world in my opinion is this † . A cross, Christian religions logo. It's so simple it can be made with any material in any situation.

Mar 14, 2018 · It would be very awkward to try to branch out to say, tennis clubs or resorts when your logo is a literal golf swing. Take a look at huge brands and their logos (amazon, verizon, google, facebook etc), they almost exclusively have generic abstract graphics or some combination of the letters in the name as logo, with the name in focus.

Jan 23, 2012 · Had someone actually designed this logo for an existing golf club called Spartan, it would have been a lot more impressive. I dont think non-existing company logotypes belong in the rank for best logos, the best logo is the logo that has best reflected a company's values and products/services eastethically and creatively.

Jan 12, 2016 · Even this one is probably fictional. Every Google result of "Spartan Golf Club" refers back to this logo or someone who ripped it off. Also, I'm a big golfer, and every golf course I've ever played and am familiar with has been named after its city, region, or owner.

Aug 6, 2019 · It's not really important that there is a golfer in the logo (there aren't any in the other 3 course logos at the same resort), and it provides a good Easter egg for people who can see it. If the intention was to make the golfer more obvious, they could have with very few changes.

Feb 8, 2011 · The Spartan Golf logo that is so loved/hated on Reddit, is a great example. The company didn't exist, the clever mark did. Companies can buy the name and mark later on.

I’m guessing it is (it’s 20 years old and the designer passed away, IIRC), but when I brought it up to Bandon’s social media person, I had to show them where I saw it. I only noticed it because I was walking up to the club house at dusk, so the colors were muted, and all I saw was the golfer. Also - the eye is the club head.

Both it and RM are unquestionably different, but similar enough that it's hard to differentiate the two. I like the look of Melbourne's more personally but find the winged O more tied to the club.
