How to Set Up a Reading Fair Board — The Ultimate Guide

This guide is designed to support parents and students as they complete a reading fair project. The guide was adapted from the MS Department of Education, Ruth Thompson, Della Davidson Elementary School in Oxford, MS, and the 2019 JPS Reading Fair Coordinator’s Manual.

Use a standard tri-fold project board that unfolds to be 36 inches high and 48 inches wide. Storyboards must meet this size requirement. The student’s name, grade level, and homeroom teacher’s name must be on the back of the storyboard. Models, dioramas, and illustrations that fit in the middle of the display are allowed.
