
What are your thoughts on caseless pc builds? : r/PcBuild - Reddit
A PC case is most of the time made of metal and it has special designed places for components, keeping them tight and out of reach (for example a moth could be attracted by the lights and be very easily squished between your VGA's fans and the sink). You don't have that in caseless builds. There is no airflow control.

Mar 2, 2012 · Has anyone or does anyone run a caseless PC mod? I'm interested in doing it as I want to make use of some old parts I have to make a media player hub for my living room. I don't fancy using the ugly case most of the parts are in and I like the look of it. I understand airflow is the main concern. The CPU I will be using is an Intel Dual Core 2.2.

May 18, 2020 · but yeah you can build the pc without a case, had a buddy who built his PC on the wall years ago Thats not a bad idea at all. Because walls are made to insulate the interiors. As for the dust: My laptops at times got full of dust inside. And i had to open them. And could barely clean them properly.

Is it possible to have a caseless computer and be dust free?
Aug 29, 2013 · It gathered much less dust then a PC in a case and was easy to dust with canned air. I suspect that not having a case (and mounting it vertically) allowed most dust to just fall off. However, it did eventually succumb to a short circuit due to me fiddling with it while it was running.
