Jul 14, 2006 · C. A 230v external outlet will require a GFCI double-pole breaker of the amp indicated for the welder usage and the wire should be at least 10/2+ground, depending upon the distance. 230v has no neutral, so both insulated wires would be hot to the breaker and the bare ground wire would go to the panel ground buss. Sep 29, 2021 · Get rid of the 2 pole breaker and replace it with a single pole 20 amp breaker and turn one of the wires into a neutral (with white electrical tape wrapped around both ends). Replace the 230v outlet with a normal double 115v jobbie, rewire your pump and put a normal plug end on it, and Bob's your uncle.

European 220V outlet "Schuko" - DIY Home Improvement Forum
Aug 20, 2005 · The Euro "Schuko" grounded outlet has one 230V hot wire, one neutral and a ground. By design, it's not polarized, so the hot wire can be connected to either side. So your unit gives up the ghost/you see the electric-bill wisdom to modernizing. Yes, the new unit doesn't require 1920W. But it does require a fair bit of power, and sharing a circuit might not work out. There's a 240V outlet already there ...

Jun 16, 2008 · A friend of mine gave me an AC/Heater unit, and I have recently decided to add it to my garage. I live in Texas, so I will only be using the AC. The AC unit is a 20A 230v. My garage has my washer, dryer, and water heater in it. I need some way of powering the AC unit. I was wondering if there is any way that I can connect the unit to the Dryer ...
