May 4, 2010 · Actually the V12's did have a vent system that worked fairly well and relied on the small pressure differential between atmosphere and the carburetor air cleaner. This system could soon be overcome when the engine begin to wear.

Aug 7, 2007 · Since the K had a 450+ cid V12 engine, the companion car had to have a V 12 also and was a hit as no other V 12 on the market could be had for under $1,500. Lincoln was not competeing with Cadillacs V 8 but with their V 12 which sold for more money.

Apr 3, 2019 · Gerry - I rebuilt my V12 in 2012 , using an attachment that was sold by George Trickett (deceased). As shown in the pictures it would fit virtually any engine stand . This could be built by any good welder.

May 12, 2006 · Dave, your whole post is a great read. You could use it as a "short course" in Packard V12 rebuilding. It's also a great testament to how good these engines were, and how much fun it is to own one that has been properly rebuilt. I'll probably never own a vehicle of any kind with a V12, but I'd sure like to, especially a Packard.
