Aug 1, 2022 · Of course a game can be *too* long, but that doesn't mean a game that is say 150 hours long is a game that is *too* long. I've played games that are over 100 hours that have felt like they could have kept going a bit, and I've played games that are 6 hours that felt like they could have been trimmed a bit.

Dec 19, 2024 · Thought it looked ok, I'll echo others in saying that Hoult does not look like a good choice for Lex at all at the moment. Too young and scrawny looking, Lex needs to be more imposing, but it was a brief glimpse so hoping I'm proven wrong. Jan 8, 2025 · You're sent on mundane errands like buying a suit or sitting through long NPC conversations. Then you're forced to complete a couple of side quests to pass the time, followed by a lengthy tutorial for one of the game's mini-games. Only then does the story finally begin to pick up. The pacing issues extend beyond the opening, too.

Dec 24, 2024 · I think it's a real problem in Odyssey how the actually worthwhile objectives are weighted the same as "idk just do a ground pound here and have a moon". They should have differentiated between the meaningful content and the moons that are just there to pad out the sandboxes. I think Bowser's Fury was on the right track, but it's too short.
