Lori Michelle Chavez-DeRemer (/ ˈ tʃ ɑː v ɛ z d ə ˈ r iː m ər /; née Chávez; born April 7, 1968) is an American politician who served as the U.S. representative for Oregon's 5th congressional district from 2023 to 2025.

President-elect Donald Trump has named Oregon Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer to lead the Department of Labor, elevating a Republican congresswoman who has strong support from unions in her district but lost reelection in November.

Chavez-DeRemer was mayor of Happy Valley, Oregon from 2011 to 2019. She is the first Republican woman to represent Oregon in the House. She is one of the first two Hispanic women elected to the United States Congress from Oregon.
