Jun 20, 2011 · XK150 OEW Paint code anyone? I am after a paint code or (equivalent) colour for Old English White. Does anyone know or have any leads? My biggest problem is that I keep forgetting about my bad my memory. This could be a good place to start, In some instances they may make a nominal charge. If they don't know they will probably know a man that does.

Sep 18, 2002 · For XK150 OTS cars in LHD, there was NO car designated Ivory and NO car designated OEW. My book on XK Specifications (coming sometime this century) will set out all known details on this subject, but basically as above. Regards John Elmgreen

Sep 19, 2002 · My XK150 car papers say Cream. And the MGA is definitely OEW (HMR43/29615). Now, the paint that I was comparing was 40+ years old on both cars, but the colour and hue were as close to identical as I could tell. Off-white with only a little yellowish hue. Definitely not a ‘creamy’-yellowish off-white.

Apr 28, 2008 · Certainly this says that all XK120, XK140 and XK150 repainted white, if it is to be a faithful colour match to factory original white is best colour matched to the chemically stable OEW used on a mid/late 1960s car - the same colour, but will not have age yellowed. So whenever you see a JDHT certificate saying CREAM, and not sure what JDHT

The XK150 was the final incarnation of the XK and it appeared in May 1957. A more refined and capable machine than its predecessors, the 150 was easily identifiable by its higher scuttle and door line, wider grille and improved interior space.
