The Justice and Development Party (Turkish: Adalet ve Kalkınma Partisi [adaːˈlet ve kaɫkɯnˈma paɾtiˈsi], AK PARTİ), abbreviated officially as AK Party in English, [1] is a political party in Turkey self-describing as conservative-democratic. [30] It has been the ruling party of Turkey since 2002.
