However, somehow, I can't adjust the brightness of my screen anymore.. When I push the F6 and F7 button - the ones to adjust brightness - the "window with the bar" opens but the brightness level only changes from a one up or down on the bar, and it doesn't even change the actual brightness of the screen.

I am not able to adjust my laptop's brightness with the brightness slider in Windows 10 [32 bit]. I am able to move the slider but the brightness is not changing correspondingly. I went through this other query and tried to do the same but didn't find the various options mentioned there.

Aug 26, 2015 · Go to settings - display. Scroll down and move the brightness bar. If the brightness bar is missing, go to control panel, device manager, monitor, PNP monitor, driver tab and click enable. Then go back to settings - dispay and look for the brightness bar and adjust.

If the above doesn't work try the hot key Fn+F7/F8 on the keyboard, this is a quick way of changing your laptop's brightness.
