In the manga, there’s a point during the Black arc that Goku introduces a perfected state of blue. It isn’t an issue in the anime but blue in the manga has a huge problem of being able to perform at high levels for any stretch of time and is very stamina intensive as well.

This is why Goku doesn't use SSJ2 and SSJ3 anymore, specially in the manga. Goku and Vegeta realized only SSJ1, SSG and SSB must be optimized, not powering up SSJ1 to reach a Idk canon SSJ4, for example

Feb 9, 2021 · I agree, though I believe Goku and vegeta can be considered to have mastered SSJ2 (potentially SSJ3 too), I think mastery of those forms to the same degree as SSJ (grade 4) where the stamina drain is negligible and the form feels natural and intuitive is not possible.
