Retired Mining Exec/LWUA Chairman – Dean Pelser with a healthy carp caught in the Nyl Dam in the Biodiversity Offset Area. When LIMFBAA lost its home waters at Flag Boshielo Dam after the dam wall was raised to provide water to the mining industry in Limpopo Province.

There are 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms each with 2 x 3/4 beds with only fitted sheets. Each room has a standing fan and the main bedroom and dining areas has aircons. On the veranda is a patio set with a built-in braai with its braai grid. You'll need to provide your own bedding, towels and toiletries as well as cleaning materials for the dishes.

Visited The Nyl Dam, had an awesome stay and experience, excellent hospitality from Mr Carl, who was very helpful and really made our stay as comfortable as possible. An excellent place to relax, unwind and enjoy some of the best fishing in the country, a place to make memories.

The Nyl river is fed mostly by smaller tributaries flowing from the Waterberg Massif that flow roughly northeastwards into a wide and shallow plain with a very feeble gradient. The main stream is known as Groot Nyl and has its sources to the east of Bela-Bela (Warmbad).
