May 8, 2021 · Yes I think the MP5 SD looks great but I don’t really want to lay out the money for one. I do have 2 MP5 and 2 SP5k so I’ve satisfied my HK fetish. I guess I’m asking how effective is the MP5 SD suppressor as compared to a nice 9mm suppressor.

Nov 14, 2020 · It's still fun, but FA is next-level. It's not just the quietness. The MP5-SD is insanely controllable on FA. It just stays locked on to the original POA with almost no effort. Mine is an Omega with a TPM can. The build quality isn't stellar, but it works. The bolt group would not go into my 94 conversion. The o-ring wasn't installed right.

Nov 24, 2021 · What have you guys heard about MP5 SD conversions done using those $179 MP5 SD Cold Hammer Forged ported barrels made by RCM ? My number one concern is reliability and then excellent sound reduction. Ideally this MP5 SD project would be both reliable and super Quiet.

Mar 25, 2021 · You still need SD parts. But an SD parts kit is just the front end, the back half of that is the same as any MP5. I recommend building off an HK94 since you will spend a ton of money on the project. Buying $5,000 kit and spending $3,000 to build a SD with a flat doesn’t make sense since you would struggle to get $5,000 back out of the gun.
