Aug 25, 2004 · The best thing to do, and the sheath maker for CRK will tell you this, is to send it back. If you can't do that you can cut out a piece of 7-8 oz leather and glue it behind the handle inside the sheath (use contact cement - coat each piece that will be glued together and let them sit for a few minutes before setting them in place).

It seemed like they were always making a compromise that required flesh to be shown somewhere.The tutorial that I posted was the only one I could find that addressed both of those issues.

Apr 14, 2007 · If you have access to the plastic used to make overhead projector slides, folding and trimming a piece to sandwich the knife and pushing it into the sheath with the knife after most of the stretching has been done will move the leather a little bit more and make it fit better, with less rubbing, after it dries.

Nov 30, 2005 · It is a few years old but basically new. The sheath was wet molded, has a welt and is dyed black and has some kind of finish. The welt has two rows of stitching. With the knife in the sheath, if I PINCH the top of the sheath just beyond the welt towards the knife handle - this is perfect. I can turn the sheath upside down and the knife stays put.

Feb 26, 2007 · I use a product called sno-seal for waterproofing leather boots.Its a really goo waterproofer for sheaths too,really keeps them in excellent shape too. just spread it on,usiing a hairdryer ,the heat opens the pores in the leather,and draws the product in completely waterproofing the leather.

Since its my first and probably make mistakes I want to keep the cost down. I got a drill press and plan on drilling all the thread holes. What size of drill bit? 1mm, 1/16"?
