Kaleden (/ k ə ˈ l iː d ən /) is an unincorporated community about midway along the western shore of Skaha Lake in the Okanagan region of south central British Columbia. [1] Adjacent to BC Highway 97 , the locality is by road about 13 kilometres (8 mi) south of Penticton .

Kaleden is a small, picturesque town situated in British Columbia’s beautiful Okanagan Valley. This quiet community is known for its stunning views of Skaha Lake, an inviting lake that compliments the town’s vineyards and orchards.

The Kaleden Community Association (KCA) is non-profit group. We are dedicated to fundraising for projects and events in Kaleden.

The name Kaleden combines the Greek “kalos” meaning "beautiful" and “eden” after the Garden of Eden. Did you know? In 1906, James Campbell Ritchie and his brother-in-law, Judson Findlay, took a horseback ride down the valley from Summerland and discovered the picturesque area on the shores of Skaha Lake now known as Kaleden.

The town of Kaleden is truly majestic with views overlooking Skaha Lake. Here you will find parks and playgrounds to explore, Linden Gardens to tour, the Regional Library to borrow books, and the Dominion Observatory to learn from. Located just a 15-minute drive South of Penticton, the small town of Kaleden is worth the trip.

Kaleden is home to approximately 1200 residents. The community includes homes located on the western shore of Skaha Lake and extending out to St. Andrews By-The-Lake and Twin Lakes. Kaleden is located in Area I of the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS)
