Jan 20, 2022 · Just to followup, in case anyone else has this problem. This was with ReadyAPI 3.2.0, We discovered that two jar files ReadyAPI puts in the war aren't actually jar files, they're pom files:

C:\Users\usha_g\Softwares\apache-tomcat-9.0.40\webapps\certificates-virts.war] java.lang.IllegalStateException: Error starting child

When I ran into this I got around it by fixing the URL for delivery of the message. When the URL is coded using several properties it can be confusing to debug.

Jan 6, 2021 · Hi richie, thanks for your reply.. It was indeed related to an Ubuntu upgrade: the JRE. I had used java 11.8 to run SOAPUI, because the bundled JRE 8 didn't work and wasn't replaced during upgrade.
