Apr 10, 2023 · It works by sending out a burst of ultrasound and listening for the echo when it bounces off of an object. The Arduino board sends a short pulse to trigger the detection, then listens for a pulse on the same pin using the pulseIn () function.

Sep 19, 2013 · You could take a look at https://bitbucket.org/eagletusk/parallax-lrf/ which I believe is a sketch for interfacing the Parallex laser range finder to an Arduino Mega, and adapt it to use SoftwareSerial. Personally, I don't trust important data to SoftwareSerial.
