Dec 5, 2023 · Listen, I've been a Half-Life fan for over half of my life. About Two-Thirds, to be precise. For a brand new Half-Life game to be released after a 14 year wait, only to be locked behind this massive barrier to entry that is VR (and a PC capable of running VR... though, well, more on that later), was heart breaking. Just finished Boneworks, and wanted to reflect on what I consider to be the three best narrative-driven games in VR in 2020, The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, Boneworks, and Half-Life: Alyx. Yes, I played Asgard's Wrath , and it does absolutely belong on this list.

Oct 29, 2023 · While Alyx's requirements are low, most PC VR games require a $1000+ PC to run well and look decent. Then, $300 on a Quest 2 doesn't seem like that much in comparison.I have a 6 years-old machine with GTX 1080 and i7-7700k, and an Oculus Rift CV1. Of course I can't run Alyx maxed out but it still looks great on Medium settings and I can run it
