The design seems almost identical, from the ambi slide lock to the grip design, I can't spot much that distinguishes the two. On FN's website, they even state that the 509 emerged from the 9C. Is it fair to say the two guns are practically the same apart from size?

Sep 21, 2020 · My suggestion would be to call Trijicon and ask on the availability of an FN mounting plate. Due to the WuFlu their customer service is slower than usual but they are very good at answering questions. I can only imagine the screw holes won't align width wise. The RMRcc is definitely a brilliant idea so long as it still allows for cowitnessing.

Mar 26, 2022 · I checked Dawson Precision. They have lots of fiber optic sights, but none are marked for FN 509. I did find one from Trijicon. The Trijicon Fiber Sights for FN 509 (Trijicon 601077). I always thought Trijicon is known for its tritium night sights. Anyway, this one seems to have everything I wanted, fiber front and black serrated rear.

Mar 6, 2022 · Just curious if you were able to get your gun repaired with a new frame. I bought a brand new 509c and on about the 3rd mag it blew out and cracked the frame. I sent it to FN, they said the gun was unrepairable and the damage was as the result of ammo pressure and or the strength of the cartridge wall was inadequate.

Dec 31, 2019 · First off, I have plenty of guns, and I've been shooting my entire life. I just got an FN 509c and was in love with it. I took it out for the first time Saturday. I have never been more frustrated with a gun in my life. I absolutely love the feel, the way it shot, all the functions, it just felt solid, and I love the sights.
