Our fire and life safety educators help develop lesson plans—ranging from 10, 30, and 60 minutes—with the Urban Fire and Life Safety Task Force to educate and inform the public on vital fire and life safety issues.

Draw a floor plan of your home, marking two ways out of each room, including windows and doors. Also, mark the location of each smoke alarm.

Aug 31, 2023 · Know and practice the building’s evacuation plan, as well as alternate routes out of the building. Test smoke alarms monthly in an apartment or a house. Ensure smoke alarms are installed in all sleeping areas, outside of all sleeping areas, and on every level of the apartment or house. Never remove or disable smoke alarms.
