Because when Act 3 is summoned, Koichi just demands it protect him and Jotaro. And then afterward, Act 3 says "mission accomplished".

Sep 15, 2021 · The whole quest line seems a little buggy. I had killed Dumyk (or whatever the big demon selling Aasimar slaves in the market was named) and gotten the key to the Echo's lair. I then received the quest from the Herald and asked the Targona to search for the lair. I also told Berenguer to not bother doing his thing because it seemed too dangerous.

Jun 12, 2020 · Well Koichi wasn’t a natural stand user, and he only received his stand from the arrow thanks to Josuke. I like to think that’s why his stand develops as an act stand, he has to discover what a stand is and his potential gradually. Also, the stand is growing with each act, and in the case of act 3 well Koichi is a teenager.

TL;DR: Despite having a strong start with ACT 1 and a really cool evolution in ACT 2, Echoes ultimately falls short as a Stand due to ACT 3.
