Garry Marshall decided to cast Most as Ralph and, playing off Most's comic ability, he changed the dumb jock into the class comedian. In 1980, Most left the series to expand his acting career.

Georgia says that Sandra Jean Jenkins was born in 1895. The mysterious family photo was dated 1908. That would make the girl in the photo 13 years old. But the girl in the photo has her hair up.
