Feb 12, 2016 · there are 3 basic common stock bolt patterns for SBC rocker covers. Stagger bolt, straight bolt ( both of those are perimeter) and center bolt. So the 327 rocker covers will fit all straight bolt heads given that the covers are stock and the heads are stock. They will not fit stagger bolt heads or center bolt heads without an adapter of some sort.

I have seen many different height aftermarket valve covers and you can determine how much you need to raise them and search Summit and Jeg's.

These sand cast aluminum valve covers feature raised CHEVROLET script lettering and 7 fins. They have perimeter mounting with staggered or offset bolt holes for 1955 to early 1959 cylinder heads. The mid height design clears many roller rockers.
