Sep 20, 2024 · I'm willing to bet $5 that is a baby banded trochus snail cleaning the larger snail. I started with 4, have been upwards to 120 after they spawned. I have seeded three aquariums with banded trochus and had enough left over to trade to my LFS.

Jun 12, 2020 · The SPS tend to retract locally where the snail is gong but then come back out once its gone shortly. I've never sucessfully kept acros though so I'm not the one to give you any info on those. When they are still tiny like your picture I've never noticed any long term closing of corals for any significant length of time.

May 31, 2021 · I saw a baby astera/trochus once and even small as they were I could definitely make out the pyramid shape. These are much more round like the collonista thanks great thinking! I will look into those not a clue how they got there haven't added any live rock since I first started 7-8 months ago and only the one Mexican Turbo in the last 3 months.
