So fo BMW gassers that require LL-01, my choice would be: 1. Castrol 0W40 2. Mobil1 0W40 Both oils you can find in Wal Mart for around $26 for 5qt. Early N55's didn't require LL-01 or LL-01FE, but the later ones did, after BMW tightened up their oil spec's.
