In 2003 Ferrari began production of the 575 GTC, based on the 575M Maranello. The cars were modified to compete in FIA GT Championship races. Performance modifications were significant, including a roll cage, better cooling for the 6.0L V-12, front splitter, rear wing, carbon fiber body panels, and an Xtrac sequential gearbox, to name a few.
