How do I insert GIS Object Data (OD) into Model Space as a Label
Using Civil 3D 2020, I am looking for a way to insert the Object Date (OD) that is included with GIS data, as a label into my drawing. I received the GIS parcel data from the County GIS department and it included the parcel lines, parcel numbers, area, plat info, etc.
Data models are used to represent spatial features in a GIS environment. There are two types of data models namely, vector and raster data models. In this unit, we will discuss the basic concepts of raster and vector data models in GIS along with their advantages and disadvantages. You will get an idea of spatial data structures.
A Framework for Land Records - Esri
The ArcGIS Land Parcel Data Model uses an open and flexible object-based data model that accommodates a wide range of applications and parcel definitions. Thematic layers in the land parcel data model, such as parcel framework, ownership and taxation, and administrative areas, are mapped to the geodatabase structure.
Object Oriented technology allows us to use parent child relationships to manage what happens to a parcel, zoning or any boundary. With this technology also comes the possibility of introducing time into GIS, not by a snapshot of a layer, but by a discreet feature.
Objects are abstractions in a spatial database, because we can only record and maintain a subset of characteristics of any entity, and no one abstraction is universally better than any other. A data model may be defined as the objects in a spatial database plus the rela-tionships among them.

These models, known as GIS data models (or geospatial data models), are a set of constructs and abstractions for describing and representing geographic entities in a digital system.
GIS Data Types And Models - Bench Partner
Object-based models consider space to be populated by well distinguishable, discrete, bounded objects with the space between objects potentially being empty. Examples include parcels, buildings, and trees, among others.
