"Young and the Restless" alum Wings Hauser, the father of "Yellowstone" star Cole Hauser, has died at the age of 78.

Wings Hauser, the prolific character actor known for his roles in "Vice Squad," "The Young and the Restless" and dozens of other films and shows, died March 15 in Los Angeles of natural causes, his wife Cali Lili Hauser confirmed to Variety.

He started out on ‘The Young and the Restless’ and earned a Spirit Award nomination for Norman Mailer’s ‘Tough Guys Don't Dance.’
