The next chapter in the Zombies story begins with Black Ops 6's Season 2. Today, Treyarch offered an early look at some of what we can expect.

It's nearly time for players to enter The Tomb to battle more undead on the quest for the fabled Sentinel Artifact.

While Black Ops 6 fans will get to experience The Tomb in all its glory come January 28, Treyarch has already unveiled a fair bit of info about the upcoming Zombies map. Fans have been provided with some details about the dig site’s lore,

Black Ops 6 developer Treyarch has announced plans to unveil a brand-new Zombies map as part of the 115 day celebrations.

Black Ops 6's new Zombies map is called The Tomb, which will launch with the start of Season 2 on January 28. This map's narrative follows the events of the Citadelle des Morts main quest, with the characters headed to an excavation site in search of the Sentinel Artifact. A first look at the map can be seen in the image below.

“The Tomb” is coming very soon, a direct sequel to Citadelle des Morts, and continuing the BO6 Zombies storyline featuring the undead-slayers Weaver, Grey, Carver, and Maya in their overarching quest in the Dark Aether storyline.

In terms of gameplay, this new location is said to “provide an experience similar to Liberty Falls,” the bright, small-town map that launched with Black Ops 6 in October. Treyarch said this means “tighter play spaces with a focus on replayability” as players discover the many Easter eggs The Tomb hides.

To celebrate the Call of Duty Zombies community on this 115 Day, Treyarch has unveiled a new Zombies map coming to Black Ops 6 and kicked off a Double XP event.
