A forensic investigation is now underway into the fire, that broke out at Tata Electronics' Hosur factory in Tamil Nadu on Saturday. The factory, which makes components for Apple iPhones, was badly hit by the fire.

Sources aware of the development said that even as the production has been halted in the plant, shipments will not be impacted as enough stocks are available for the next three months. Tata Electronics is the first known Indian company that has been shortlisted by Apple for supply of iPhone components.
