Sony Pictures has landed a new film project that is coming from Godzilla Minus One director Takashi Yamazaki titled Grandgear . He is set to write and direct the film with J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot producing.

Yamazaki earned plenty of praise thanks to his previous movie. Godzilla Minus One opened with Kōichi Shikishima ( Ryunosuke Kamiki) suffering a traumatic experience due to an encounter with the titular monster.
