AMD announced the new RDNA 4 cards at CES without a release date beyond “Q1,” and AMD exec David McAfee later narrowed that window to “March.” Now, we just heard AMD CEO Lisa Su narrowed it further to “early March” on the company’s Q4 earnings call.

AMD is expected to officially show off its two new RDNA 4 graphics cards before the end of the month, after revealing little at CES.

Ahead of Radeon RX 9000 Series' March launch, AMD is planning to reveal its new graphics lineup with an event before the month's out.

With no new GeForce RTX 50 Series or even many 40 Series GPUs to buy gamers are turning to Team Red and cards like the Radeon RX 7900 XT.

The GPUs will be built on a 4 nm process, presumably from TSMC, an upgrade from the 5 nm process used for the 7000-series GPUs and the 6 nm process used for the separate memory controller chiplets (AMD hasn't said whether RDNA 4 GPUs are using chiplets; the 7000 series used them for high-end GPUs but not lower-end ones).

A store is now listing an AMD Radeon RX 9070 gaming GPU pre-order date in late March, and the new graphics cards could come out soon after.

AMD announced the Radeon RX 9070 XT and 9070 GPUs at CES in January but offered little detail and suggested that we’d learn more about them by the end of the quarter, which would be the last day of March.
