The Hoosiers extended their lead to as many as 7 points in the first half and ultimately carried a 41-37 lead into the break. Indiana outrebounded Purdue 19-12 and shot 55% from the floor. Purdue junior guard Braden Smith led all scorers with 14 points, followed closely by Goode.

Freshman Gicarri Harris introduced himself to the Purdue vs. Indiana rivalry with his block in the final seconds.
