Leeds United captain Ethan Ampadu will be out until January after sustaining a knee ligament injury in their win against Coventry.

Midfielder Ampadu had played every minute of Leeds’ campaign up to that injury and started in both of Wales’ Nations League games against Turkey and Montenegro earlier this month. The Whites are currently fifth in the Championshp, two points off top, after winning three of their last four games.

According to Cross on X, Leeds will be without Max Wober against Norwich because of injury, with a six-week absence on the cards and surgery required, having not featured at all in the Championship yet this season. He will be the fifth player on the injury list alongside Amapdu, Dan James, Manor Solomon and Isaac Schmidt.
