Last month in bankruptcy filings, Big Lots said it would close almost 50 more stores, bringing its total planned store closures to more than 340.

The embattled discount retailer continues to add to the list of stores it intends to shutter as part of Chapter 11 proceedings. Here’s the latest batch. It’s a new month and with it comes news of yet more Big Lots store closures.

Big Lots is closing two more stores in Upstate New York following its bankruptcy filing. The discount retail chain’s list of store closures has grown to include 12 stores in New York state — up from 10 that were previously announced.

Among the locations most recently added to the list is the store in Matthews. That makes at least four Big Lots stores in the greater Charlotte area that are set to close or have
