Acer has unveiled its new range of Predator Helios and Nitro V gaming laptops at CES featuring the latest chips from Intel and NVIDIA.

With the name 'Neo' attached to it, I don't think it's any surprise that Acer has gone all Cyberpunk 2077 with its latest gaming laptop's promotional image – the Predator Helios 16S AI. After all, Keanu Reeves may have starred in The Matrix, as Neo, but the actor also lent his name to the aforementioned videogame.

While the Nitro series sticks to the RTX 40 series GPUs, it's the Predator Helios series that will feature Nvidia’s newly announced 50 series laptop graphic cards. The flagship models include the Predator Helios 16 AI and Predator Helios 18 AI, alongside the midrange Predator Helios Neo 16S AI.

Acer has revealed performance and feature upgrades for its flagship Predator Helios 16 and 18 AI gaming laptops at CES 2025 in Las Vegas. The company has also launched a slim Predator Helios Neo 16S AI laptop and a Predator XB323QX gaming monitor (below).

Today at CES 2025, Acer announced their newest Nitro V AI lineup of gaming laptops infused with artificial intelligence. Not only are they designed to consume less power (and extend battery life), but they also feature AI-powered graphics thanks to Nvidia’s DLSS 3.5 technology.

The Acer Nitro V comes with a medium-sized 512GB SSD that might need to be upgraded for users who have larger game libraries or those who plan to use the laptop for other workloads such as video editing. Getting more RAM is a no-brainer too with 8GB of RAM being underwhelming for most workloads beyond casual browsing and office work.

Acer has announced its latest member to the Predator gaming lineup, the Helios 18 AI, set for release in 2025. While Nvidia's new RTX 50-Series is currently limited to desktops, the Helios 18 AI still has the most powerful 40-Series GPU and more CPU cores than you usually see in laptops.
