Diana Taurasi, the WNBA's all-time leading scorer, avoided the spectacle of retirement ceremonies and left the game on her own terms.

PHOENIX (AP) — Diana Taurasi is retiring after 20 seasons, ending one of the greatest careers in women’s basketball history.

But Taurasi is leaving the game in a better place than she found it and has some personal hardware to show for it, including three WNBA titles, two WNBA Finals MVPs, an 11-time All-Star, named to the All-WNBA’s First team 10 times and kicked things off with the WNBA Rookie of the Year award back in 2004.

Diana Taurasi announced she was retiring after 20 seasons in the WNBA medals after spending her entire career with the Phoenix Mercury. “I just didn’t have it in me,” the 11-time All-Star and 2009 league MVP told TIME about her decision.
