TALLAHASSEE — A committee of Florida lawmakers unanimously advanced a bill Tuesday to prohibit golf courses, hotels, pickleball courts and more from being built on state park land.

The bill would prevent the development of such things as golf courses, pickleball courts and lodges in Florida State Parks.

The bill comes after news of the state's plans for a 'Great Outdoors Initiative' that would have included golf courses at state parks.
