After a brief legal tiff between NFL MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson and NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. over a stylized No. 8 trademark garnered headlines a week ago, Earnhardt cleared the air and put the matter to rest Tuesday during an episode of "Dirty Air" on his podcast platform.

Lamar Jackson is building a brand around the No. 8, which he wears for the Baltimore Ravens, and isn't afraid to go head-to-head with former athletes who lay similar claim to the number. Among them is Dale Earnhardt Jr., who used the number on his famous Budweiser-sponsored car earlier in his career.

Since then, Junior has run the #8 car in a race for the CARS Tour, a late model short track series in which Dale Jr. is a co-owner. And he’s also released merch featuring his #8 car that many fans associate with the Hall of Fame driver.
