Prime Video is expecting more “growth and momentum” for Season 2 over time, though as Deadline previously reported, the series has been struggled to retain a large portion of its Season 1 audience. Samba TV data shows that the Season 2 premiere episode drew half the audience that the first episode of Season 1 drew in less time.

The Rings of Power” has reached 55 million global viewers since its launch 34 days ago on Aug. 29. That’s an increase of only 15 million viewers since the total of 40 million that the company reported 11 days after launch.
