While Philadelphians frantically refreshed X on Monday night hoping to see that Howie Roseman and the Eagles had traded for a pass rusher before Tuesday’s trade deadline, it was Danny Brière and the Flyers who were doing the dealing.

Ronnie Attard, a defenseman on the Flyers' roster bubble for the last several years, was traded to the Edmonton Oilers, the team announced Monday night. In return, the Flyers are getting defenseman Ben Gleason, essentially in a one-for-one swap of AHL blueliners.
