The Atlanta Braves and Chicago Cubs were listed as potential suitors for free-agent starting pitcher Walker Buehler by MLB Network's Jon Morosi.

We are a little more than two weeks into the 2024-25 MLB offseason and so far the Angels have been the most active team. They landed Jorge Soler in a salary dump trade with the Braves and signed Kyle Hendricks,

Atlanta is understandably intrigued by what Buehler can add to its rotation. Fried is in the open market, Charlie Morton could retire and Spencer Strider remains on the shelf after suffering his own elbow injury. Despite the Braves' need for starting pitching, they have to be smart with their negotiation tactics.

The hot stove has come to a simmer as the Atlanta Braves are rumored to have interest in free agent Walker Buehler. The 30-year-old just finished his seventh season with the Los Angeles Dodgers, where he put together a 1-6 record over 16 starts.

Buehler showed during the MLB playoffs that he still has the capability to pitch at a high level, and he is drawing interest from at least one contender as a result.

S o it appears that we’re actually going to get some free agent rumors involving the Atlanta Braves this season. While the Braves have definitely been active in recent offseason
