U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said on Wednesday the Pentagon was prepared to look at all options for Gaza, a day after President Donald Trump said he would like the U.S. to take control of and redevelop the Gaza Strip.

He says the military should prepare exit options by land, sea and air so that anyone who wishes to can leave for "any country willing to accept them."

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz on Thursday proposed offering residents the right to resettle in any country that will have them after U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to take over Gaza and relocate Palestinians.

The plan has been rejected by Palestinians and much of the global community as a violation of international law.
