Pearl was named SEC Coach of the Year for the fourth time in his career and second at Auburn, as voted on by the conference’s head coaches. It comes after Auburn finished the regular season 27-4, matching a program record for regular season wins.

Auburn’s Johni Broome and Bruce Pearl have been named the Southeastern Conference’s player and coach of the year.

Losing by just two points is clearly not ideal, suffering the defeat during Auburn's Senior Night makes the experience more gut-wrenching too. Coach Pearl posits that if Johni Broome had gotten more calls while he was battling out in the paint, the outcome could have been way different.
