Authorities in Australia on Monday arrested and charged veteran radio broadcaster and former national rugby team coach Alan Jones for sexually abusing seven adults and a 17-year-old over a two-decade span.

Australian police on Monday charged former radio show host Alan Jones with 24 assault and sexual touching offenses, indictments that followed accusations in a newspaper that Jones had assaulted young men for decades.

The retired radio host, who was granted bail after being arrested, was accused of abusing eight victims over nearly 20 years.
