High school football games continued throughout the state of Alabama Sep. 26-27 and there was plenty of great action taking place. The No. 1 team in the Yellowhammer State remains Central-Phenix City after no game with IMG Academy and then followed by the Saraland Spartans and Thompson.

The Pirates defeated Phil Campbell 43-28 last week to move to 3-0 in 3A, Region 5. It was the most amount of points WInfield has scored this season, led by Kyson Kay who rushed for two scores. Last week: Ranked No. 2. This week: at Fayette County.
