Central Ohio school districts have announced delays for Thursday as freezing rain blanketed the region overnight. According to a winter weather advisory from the National Weather Service, freezing rain overnight was expected to cause slippery roads and sidewalks. The advisory remained in place until 7 a.m. Thursday.

School closings and delays for Thursday morning are coming in across the Pittsburgh area ahead of an ice storm. The entire area is under a winter weather advisory. An ice storm warning is in place for the Laurel Highlands and ridges,

National Weather Service forecasters Wednesday set down a Winter Weather Advisory covering almost the entire state, warning of slippery road conditions during the morning and evening commutes. Snowfall is expected to begin between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Thursday, before the precipitation shifts to ice and rain in the afternoon.

Several schools in central and western Minnesota have announced delays Monday morning after snow moved through the area overnight.

At least one district has decided to close Thursday morning and another called for a two-hour delay due to the approaching storm. We will continue to update the list as changes are needed overnight and into the morning hours.
